Damn Busy Week

Hiatus or not I promised weekly updates!

Title truly says it all. From monday to thursday I spent nearly all of my school time working on a computer my uncle gave us. Had to downgrade it from Windows XP to 2000 'cause XP was overtaxing it greatly. That was only supposed to take 2 days but it ended up taking 4. Oh well, what can ya do?

So Friday rolls around. My honors chemistry class had been planning a trip to Cloudland Canyon ( [link] ) . Now, considering my size, I have a pretty good amount of stamina. But JUZUZ CHRIST! The thing was 4 miles, 2 in and 2 out. 1200 feet of elevation changes. 600 stairs. If you wanna know what it's like, have a helicopter drop you off at the top floor of the Empire State Building in NYC and climb down it and back up. Then try to walk the next day (dunno 'bout you but I sure can't) . I mean, it was real pretty and all and we saw a snake and got to splash around in the water a bit but I nearly collapsed about 3 times. It was only like 65 degrees F but with around 110% humidity, our water ran out fast. Before we even got to the halfway point I had drank my entire 40 oz of it. I filled that bottle up at a stream and used it as pour-over water the rest of the day. It was cold. VERY cold, but in the best of ways. I'll see if I can remember to upload some of the pictures. Unfortunately all I had with me was mom's phone but the regular camera wouldnt've stood up to the humidity.

It's official, I'll be fully back on the 21st (I think). That's the last day of school for me.

well then your teacher is wrong. stick some more ram in it and it'll be fine! i also reccommend on defragging the hdd too. hey if my dad's p2 333mhz pc with 368mb of ram can run it so can that thing!

there's the problem. there's no ram for that particular PC in the shop. and we can't afford to buy any. besides, it's already running 2000 finely. and he didn't actually say anything under 256 wouldn't run it. that's the manufacturer's recommended level. anything under that is just incredibly slow. and trust me it was.
