Tired of seeing this around here. It should not be an option! If you're too afraid to see what someone says about your work, don't fucking post it! The ONLY time it's ok is if you plan to take down or replace the item shortly after posting it!
Edit (in comments): I need to put this on Youtube as well...
sometimes, people get a lot of REALLY STUPID comments on their submissions, that are completely unrelated to the image. there are a few reasons why people would disable their comments... although i havent a reason yet, ive seen some really legitimate reasons for someone disabling comments.
I like it when comments come. It gives me a chance to see what people think. Whoever's blocking the comments is really limiting their chances of getting tips and ideas.
Oh I know. I've had 2 people argue over stuff on my deviation before. It wasn't even close to the piece (relationship or something like that). And I've had my share of trolls. But there's a much better solution to those problems, taking down and reposting the piece.

As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
